Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency in presentation and taste.
Monitor food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with hygiene standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive food production knowledge, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
Strong team management abilities with leadership qualities to motivate staff effectively.
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings, demonstrating adaptability under pressure.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff.
