We are seeking a detail-oriented Part Time Bookkeeper to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software programmes, including Xero, and possess a strong understanding of financial record-keeping. This position is perfect for someone looking to utilise their bookkeeping skills on a part-time basis while supporting the financial operations of our private, arts based, Club.

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records using Xero
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure data integrity
Payroll processing and related documentation
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management and Club Council
Support year-end audit preparations by organising relevant documentation
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Perform data entry and maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents

Skills

Proven experience with accounting software
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent numerical proficiency and accuracy in data entry
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a part-time capacity
