Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Construction Office Assistant to join our team in a small but busy office. The primary purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the office. The role will involve providing office-based support to sites, to ensure the smooth running of projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the successful delivery of our projects. The position is suitable for candidates with relevant office experience and proficiency in various computer applications.

Responsibilities

Day to day duties will involve, but are not limited to:

· Providing assistance to the Estimating team.

. Working with databases, including Excel and in house management software.

.General office administration, including data entry, scanning and updating and maintaining office records

· Making and receiving telephone calls

· Researching material prices and purchasing, organising deliveries to sites.

· Any other duties reasonably associated with an assistant role in a construction office

Requirements

Proven office experience with a strong background in administrative tasks
Excellent IT literacy (especially with Excel and other databases)
An enthusiastic, positive attitude
Punctual and reliable in respect of attendance and task completion
Ability to change task quickly when required
Ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to take responsibility for own learning and development
Organised, with the ability to multi-task
Strong English language skills - both written and verbal
Previous clerical or administrative experience within the construction industry is advantageous
Organised, reliable, and capable of managing multiple deadlines simultaneously

Own transport and full UK driving licence Essential. The office location is not on public transport routes and has no pavement access.

Our full time office hours are 42.5 per week, based on 08:00 - 17:00 with a 30 minute break.

Salary dependant on skills and experienced and reviewed regularly.
