Full job description

£35,000 base salary plus Tronc

Deputy General Manager Duties

Operational Management – Assist the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations,ensuring all departments run smoothly and efficiently while meeting company goals and standards.

Team Leadership & Development – Support in managing and motivating staff,ensuring effective recruitment,training,and performance management to maintain a productive and positive team environment.

Financial Oversight – Assist with budgeting,financial planning,and monitoring financial performance to ensure the business meets its revenue targets and stays within budget.

Customer Relations & Service Excellence – Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer feedback,resolving issues,and implementing service improvements where needed.

Compliance & Standards – Ensure all company policies,procedures,and legal regulations are adhered to,maintaining a safe and compliant environment for both staff and customers.

Required Skills

Leadership & Team Management – Strong ability to lead,motivate,and manage a team,ensuring high performance,staff development,and a positive workplace culture.

Financial Acumen – Proficiency in budgeting,financial analysis,and cost control to support business profitability and achieve financial goals.

Strategic Thinking – Ability to analyse business performance,identify areas for improvement,and implement strategies that drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Excellent Communication Skills – Clear and effective communication with staff,customers,and senior management,ensuring smooth operations and collaboration across departments.

Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – Strong analytical skills to address challenges,make informed decisions,and implement practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
