Full job description

Overview

Pitlair House Private Nursing Home is located in Bow of Fife and situated amongst acres of beautiful gardens and grounds. It is privately owned and not part of a large corporate group. The original house is hundreds of years old and possesses a character rarely seen in Nursing Homes.

We are seeking a professional and dedicated Administrator/Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our Nursing Home. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to managing administrative tasks. The role also encompasses payroll processing and the management of petty cash / resident funds etc.

Duties

Greet visitors, clients, and staff with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage incoming calls with proper phone etiquette, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel or departments.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office applications, SAGE payroll and dealing with invoices from suppliers.
Handle correspondence, including emails, mail distribution, and document preparation with attention to detail.
Maintain office supplies inventory and coordinate procurement to ensure operational efficiency.
Support clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and other administrative duties as required.
Foster a welcoming environment by providing excellent customer service and assisting visitors or callers promptly.

Qualifications

Previous office experience demonstrating proficiency in administrative functions and customer service. Experience of working in a Nursing Home / Care setting would be an advantage
Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience in using SAGE beneficial
Proven clerical experience with excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication standards.

Pay: £25,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
