Full job description

Part-Time HR & Office Administrator

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive HR & Office Administrator to join our charity. This is a standalone role supporting both our HR functions and day-to-day office administration. The successful candidate will work closely with management to ensure efficient administration, compliance, and communication across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage employee records and maintain confidential HR files
Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and preparing offer letters
Support onboarding and induction processes for new employees
Process new starter and leaver documentation
Monitor staff attendance, holidays, and absence records
Assist with payroll administration and provide accurate employee information when required
Ensure HR and employment records are maintained in line with legal and organisational requirements
Provide general office administration support, including managing correspondence, filing, and maintaining records
Coordinate training and professional development records
Support internal communications and staff engagement activities
Assist with social media and other administrative projects as required
Liaise with external providers and maintain effective office systems

Essential Requirements

Previous administrative experience, ideally with some HR responsibilities
Good understanding of HR administration and confidentiality requirements
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and manage a standalone HR and administration function
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Friendly, professional, and approachable manner

Desirable

Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
HR qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 3 or above)
Experience working in the charity, education, or childcare sector

Pay: Up to £25,500.00 per year
