Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining the store's appearance, and supporting daily operations. This position offers an engaging environment for individuals passionate about retail, gardening, and horticulture, with opportunities to develop organisational and merchandising skills. Fluency in multiple languages is advantageous to assist our diverse customer base. The role is paid and suitable for those eager to contribute positively to our retail experience.

Responsibilities

Greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their enquiries
Providing expert advice on gardening and horticulture products
Organising merchandise displays to optimise visual appeal and sales
Restocking shelves and ensuring the store remains tidy and well-presented
Operating cash registers and processing transactions accurately
Supporting stock management, including receiving deliveries and organising stockrooms
Assisting with promotional activities and seasonal displays
Communicating effectively with customers in English and Spanish (or other languages as applicable)
Maintaining knowledge of current product ranges and store policies

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, or related fields is desirable
Experience in merchandising and visual presentation techniques
Multilingual abilities to serve a diverse clientele effectively
Friendly, approachable manner with a genuine enthusiasm for customer service
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required

Positions Available 1 Full time or 2 Part time

Must also be able to work Evening, Weekends and holiday cover. Be able to lone work and have use of a Vehicle as you will need to commute to other site at Lamphey and Narberth, Milage will be covered.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Tenby: South ED SA70 8EU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
