Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Shop Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the Shop Manager in a welcoming every customer to the shop and in turn achieving sales targets.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for customer service, contributing to a positive team environment while ensuring exceptional delivery of service. We have a loyal and local trade, recognising the benefit of this is key to achieving our continued growth in the community.

Responsibilities

Assist the Shop Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet targets.
Support the training and development of the shop team, fostering a culture of high performance and great customer satisfaction.
Engage with customers to understand their needs, providing tailored solutions and ensuring satisfaction.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services, ensuring the team is well-informed.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain strong relationships.

you will need

Proven experience in a cafe or bakery shop environment, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to motivate others towards achieving common goals.
Enthusiasm and a welcoming smile.
Willingness to learn some basic food preparation.
