The Role

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Service Technician to join our team. This is a field-based role responsible for providing post-sales technical support to customers, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, Helpdesk support, and remote technical assistance.

You will respond to customer enquiries regarding equipment operation, diagnose and resolve technical issues both on-site and remotely, and ensure customers receive an efficient, professional service. You will also advise customers on preventative maintenance and equipment configuration to maximise performance and customer satisfaction. Full product training on Toshiba equipment will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain and repair multifunction devices in accordance with company guidelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and networking faults.
Provide Helpdesk and remote technical support to customers.
Respond to customer enquiries regarding equipment operation and technical issues.
Advise customers on preventative maintenance and equipment configuration to maximise performance.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or management when necessary.
Complete all service documentation accurately and submit it within required timescales.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of parts and consumables.
Liaise regularly with the Greendocs Service Department to ensure accurate reporting and scheduling.
Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally at all times.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Experience in equipment maintenance and repair (full Toshiba product training provided).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Good organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Apple Mac.
Ability to support the networking of devices to customer systems.
Full UK driving licence.
Full colour vision.

Desirable

Relevant technical certifications or vocational qualifications.
Experience working in a field service environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and diplomatic when dealing with challenging situations.
