Digital Marketing Executive

Job Description

Sykes-Pickavant is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of specialist automotive and industrial service tools. With over 100 years of innovation, we design, manufacture and distribute high-quality tools and workshop equipment to professional technicians, distributors and OEMs throughout the UK and international markets.

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic and commercially minded Digital Marketing Executive to join our growing marketing team. This role will be responsible for developing our digital presence, increasing brand awareness, driving website traffic and supporting sales growth across multiple online channels.

Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Marketing

· Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns across multiple online platforms.

· Manage and grow Sykes-Pickavant’s presence across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and X (formerly Twitter).

· Create engaging content that increases brand awareness, customer engagement and lead generation.

· Plan, schedule and publish content using social media management platforms such as Hootsuite.

· Monitor social media performance and recommend improvements based on analytics.

Website & E-commerce

· Manage and maintain the Sykes-Pickavant Shopify website.

· Create, edit and upload product content, news articles, landing pages and promotional campaigns.

· Optimise website content to improve user experience and search engine performance.

· Design and update website banners, promotional graphics and visual content.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

· Develop SEO strategies to improve website rankings and organic traffic.

· Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis.

· Monitor website performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other reporting tools.

· Recommend improvements to website structure, content and performance.

Email Marketing & Customer Engagement

· Create, schedule and distribute email marketing campaigns.

· Develop customer journeys and targeted email communications.

· Manage and maintain customer databases in accordance with GDPR.

· Support lead generation campaigns and customer retention initiatives.

Content Creation

· Produce engaging written content for:

o Product launches

o Website articles

o Email campaigns

o Social media

o Digital brochures

o Catalogues

o Case studies

o Press releases

o Blogs

· Produce photography and video content for marketing campaigns, product demonstrations and social media.

· Work with internal departments to create compelling technical and promotional content.

Reporting & Analysis

· Produce regular reports measuring website traffic, campaign performance, SEO rankings and social media engagement.

· Analyse marketing performance and present recommendations to management.

· Measure campaign effectiveness and demonstrate return on investment (ROI).

Market Research & Innovation

· Research emerging digital marketing trends, technologies and platforms.

· Identify new online opportunities to increase customer engagement and sales.

· Monitor competitor activity and recommend new marketing initiatives.

· Contribute ideas to support the continued growth of the Sykes-Pickavant brand.

Product Knowledge

· Develop a strong understanding of the Sykes-Pickavant product range and target markets.

· Work closely with Product Management and Sales teams to ensure marketing materials are technically accurate and commercially effective.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

· Confidence using digital marketing and social media platforms.

· Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Desirable Experience

Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:

· Shopify

· Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

· Google Search Console

· Google Ads

· Meta Business Suite

· LinkedIn Campaign Manager

· Hootsuite or similar scheduling platforms

· Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

· Canva

· Video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar)

· SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs or Moz

· Email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Klaviyo

· Basic photography and videography
