Pay: £13.50 per hour | Full-time | Permanent

Oowee is one of Bristol's most loved independent restaurants. We serve some of the city's favourite burgers and dirty fries, our mantra is Next Level Fast Food. It's a busy, fast kitchen and we’re looking for a kitchen shift leader / sous chef to join our team.

What the role looks like:

You'll lead a busy kitchen shift, setting the pace and keeping things moving whether it's a quiet midweek lunch or a busy Friday night. You'll get your team following our kitchen processes and doing things the Oowee way, hold high standards on everything we serve, and make sure all our food hygiene and safety practices are carried out properly. Above all you'll work alongside your kitchen team and get the best out of them, so the food that goes out is food we're all proud of.

What we need from you:

Solid kitchen experience is required enough that you know how a busy kitchen runs and can hold your own when it gets busy. But more than anything we need the right attitude: someone who leads from the front, keeps their cool under pressure, and the kind of person a kitchen naturally looks to when things get busy. You take pride in a well-run shift and it shows, you care about doing things properly, and you want to be part of a team and help it get better.
