Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Steak House Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft high-quality steaks and other dishes, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to food safety standards and culinary excellence, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of our establishment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of steakhouse dishes, including steaks, sides, and accompaniments, ensuring consistency and quality.
Oversee the entire food preparation process, from raw ingredients to final presentation.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes to enhance the dining experience.
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to steak preparation and meal presentation.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
Experience in serving guests or front-of-house duties is advantageous but not essential.
Passion for culinary arts and a keen eye for detail in food presentation. This role provides an excellent opportunity for dedicated chefs looking to develop their skills within a reputable steakhouse environment, delivering memorable dining experiences through exceptional cuisine.
