Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will have a background in restaurant or hotel experience, with skills in food preparation, cooking, and team management.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the bar team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of hospitality.
Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards.
Manage daily operations including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety legislation.
Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to foster a motivated team environment.
Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction.
Develop innovative drink menus and promotional offers to enhance customer experience.
Train new staff members in service procedures, food safety practices, and product knowledge.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production with bar service for seamless operation.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a bar or restaurant environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary principles.
Experience in serving customers in hospitality settings such as restaurants or hotels.
Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes.
Previous experience working as a barista or in hospitality roles is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Good communication skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour.
