Full job description

We are an established and busy automotive garage looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Receptionist to join our team.

You will be the first point of contact for our customers, helping to ensure they receive a professional and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive or get in touch.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Greeting customers and handling enquiries professionally
Answering telephone calls, emails and messages
Booking vehicles in for servicing, repairs and MOTs
Managing customer appointments and workshop schedules
Taking customer details and keeping records up to date
Liaising with mechanics and the workshop team
Handling payments and basic administrative duties
Keeping the reception/customer area organised
Providing customers with updates regarding their vehicles
General office and reception duties

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and professional
Well organised with good attention to detail
Confident communicating with customers
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable using computers and basic office systems
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Interested in the automotive industry

Previous reception, customer service or garage experience is a bonus but is not essential. Full training can be provided for the right person.

Requirements / Preferences

Full UK driving licence preferred
Preferably living locally to the garage
Previous automotive or reception experience is advantageous but not required
A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
