Full job description

Income/Finance Administrator

Location: Northeast Office or Accrington Office
Hours: Full Time – Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm and Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm
Salary: £24,178.22 per annum

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Income/Finance Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis. Previous experience within a finance or accounts administration environment is preferred. The successful candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a varied workload across both finance and income administration functions while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

This role combines daily financial data entry with wider administrative responsibilities, supporting the smooth running of our Finance and Income functions.

Key Responsibilities

Income Administration Duties

Prepare and distribute quarterly Board meeting minutes.
Produce and send monthly rent increase letters.
Raise void, office and sleepover invoices.
Raise self-funder invoices for FHA and FHA’s externally managed tenants.
Chase outstanding payments and accurately record payments received.
Process credit notes where required.
Raise recharge invoices where required.
Manage incoming and outgoing office post.
Administer council tax processes, including setting up Direct Debits and applying for exemptions.

Finance Duties

Download daily entries from the bank into the cashbook and update the Income team bank statement entries.
Post daily income and expenditure entries from the cashbook into Sage Intacct.
Complete routine finance administration and support the finance function as required.
Assist with additional finance tasks depending on business needs.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a finance, accounts or bookkeeping role.
Experience of using accounting software, for example Sage/Quickbooks/Xero would be advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Good administrative and time management skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities, adhere to deadlines and work independently.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience of VLookups and Pivot tables.
A positive, flexible approach and willingness to support the wider team as required.
