Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding promptly to incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential. The Security Officer will play a vital part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all visitors and employees.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety protocols are being followed and identify potential hazards or security risks.
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access.
Respond swiftly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing first aid if necessary until professional help arrives.
Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for reporting purposes.
Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes.
Collaborate with local authorities or emergency services during critical situations.
Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions promptly.

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while responding effectively to emergencies.
Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
Basic first aid knowledge to provide initial assistance during incidents.
Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders.
Organised with the ability to complete detailed reports accurately.
