Location: Leeds City Centre
Position: Relief Retail Security Officer
Rate of Pay: £13.10 per hour
Hours of Work:

When Required (Holiday & Sickness cover, events etc)
Monday & Saturday 10:00 to 18:00
Sunday 11:00 to 17:00
Additional hours may be available

Start Date: Immediate (Subject to vetting)

Job Description:

RNC Security Ltd is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Relief Retail Security Officer to join our team in the heart of Leeds City Centre. The role is critical in ensuring a safe and secure shopping environment for both customers and staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, managing access control, and responding to security-related incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the core team with holiday, sickness and event cover
Maintain a visible presence within the retail environment to deter theft and manage disturbances.
Conduct regular patrols and security checks within the premises.
Manage access control points and assist with customer inquiries.
Respond to and manage any security incidents that occur on site.
Liaise with store management and local law enforcement as required.
Provide detailed reports of incidents and daily activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

Essential Requirements:

Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license.
Read and write fluently in English.
Minimum 1 years experience in a retail security role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A professional demeanour and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
