Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic <PERSON> and cafe assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting daily café operations, food preparation, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and be committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry while contributing to a welcoming and vibrant café atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of food items in accordance with established recipes and standards
Assist with cooking and meal preparation to ensure timely service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the counter or table
Take orders accurately and handle cash or card transactions as required
Restock supplies and ensure all ingredients are stored correctly
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety throughout the café environment

Skills

Experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen work is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
Previous restaurant or café experience is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when serving customers
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
