Full job description

Natural Stone Surfaces are a leading fabricator of stone worktops. We are based in Chapel en le Frith and cover the whole of the UK. Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit additional Trainee Stone Installers to support our installation teams. The role will support our Southern Fitting teams and as such will report daily to our Hertford depot prior to installing in customer homes in South East on a daily basis. There is a clear career progression plan that offers opportunity for increased skill set and increased earnings up to £15.00 per hour and then piece rate option with OTE of c£50k once working as a lead fitter. Key Responsibilities:

Installation Assistance: Fitters and Van in installing a wide range of stone materials.
Precision Work: Follow digital plans and specification sheets to ensure precise cutting, measuring, and fitting.
Detail-Oriented: Pay meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the installation process.
Tool Handling: Use and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Fitting Techniques: Solid understanding of stone fitting techniques and industry safety standards.
Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using electrically powered hand tools, with the ability to maintain them properly.
Communication: Strong verbal and numerical skills for clear communication with team members and customers.
Team Dynamics: Ability to work effectively under pressure and support the team during challenging situations.

Personal Attributes:

Self-Motivated: A proactive individual with a strong desire to contribute positively.
Physical Fitness: Must be physically able to perform tasks such as standing, sitting, moving, squatting, walking, and climbing during shifts.

Additional Requirements:

Drug Test: Successful completion of a drug test is mandatory.
Driving License: A clean, current driving license of 2 years is required.
