Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our nursery environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, create a nurturing atmosphere, and ensure the highest standards of childcare are maintained. Applicants should have relevant nursery experience and a background in early childhood education, along with excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare services in accordance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
Plan, organise, and oversee daily activities within the nursery to promote children's development and well-being.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages learning through play and interaction.
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and team members regarding children's progress, needs, and any concerns.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the nursery.
Support staff training programmes and organise ongoing professional development opportunities.
Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting as required.
Assist with organising outings or trips that support children’s learning experiences outside the nursery setting.

Skills

Proven leadership abilities within a childcare or nursery setting.
Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood environments.
Strong understanding of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication skills in English, capable of liaising effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
Organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to motivate and lead a team by example, fostering a collaborative working environment.
