Job Introduction

Receptionist / Driver – South Essex (Basildon, Thurrock, Southend) - Out of Hours / Weekend and Night Shifts

Must hold a full, clean, manual UK driving license.

This role is an exciting blend of responsibilities:

Receptionist duties:

Welcoming patients with compassion and ensure confidentiality.
Handling a variety of patient needs, including appointment booking, comfort calls, and dealing with sensitive situations.
You’ll need excellent empathy and strong IT skills to navigate systems while offering support, especially in moments of distress.
Ensuring 2 x way communication with the call centres to ensure efficient operations.

Driver duties:

Conduct vehicle and equipment checks and safely transport clinicians to home visits where they’ll provide essential care. You may also be accompanying clinicians into patient homes.
Ensuring correct use of equipment and vehicles at all times.

IC24 provides services to over 6 million patients, including GP led out-of-hours services, NHS 111, primary care, and secondary care support services.

Locations - Thurrock, Basildon, Southend

Flexibility to cover our other bases in Mid Essex where needed. As part of your normal responsibilities, you could be required to work at any of these locations when required.

Hours Available: Weekends and Night Shifts Available

You must be able to drive both Automatic and Manual vehicles as our IC24 cars are a mixture of both!.
