North London Hospice is a registered charity that has been caring for local people since 1984. We help those with a potentially life-limiting illness who have specialist needs.
We welcome people from all faiths and communities within the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. We are now also able to offer some of our services to people within Camden and Islington. We provide physical, emotional and spiritual care to patients and families, friends and carers.
As a registered charity, North London Hospice provides free Specialist Palliative Care Services. We receive some government funding, relying on donations and legacies to meet the cost of providing our exceptional care and support.
The Fundraising Team are a driven and determined team who play a pivotal role in ensuring sustainability of the Hospice now, and in the future.
Role Purpose
This is an exciting new role, working with a Senior Officer to drive sustainable income via corporate partnerships for the hospice. We think this is a relatively untapped income stream for the hospice and there is a real opportunity to grow our portfolio of corporate partners and the right person will be able to make this an area of career defining growth. The postholder will identify and pitch for new opportunities, as well as developing and growing support from the companies already supporting us. Working with internal teams to develop products that will be attractive to potential partners and to ensure that we are maximising opportunities accross other areas of fundraising, this role will be varied, creative and fast-paced.
Key Responsibilities
General

Strategic development – You will devise, lead on and implement a partnerships strategy

Leading and Managing – This is a new team and you will line manage a Senior Officer. You’ll be looking at our community and making decisions about which industries and partners to approach and how best to do that. Working with internal stakeholders you will be pitching for new business as well as growing income from companies that already support us.

Implementing and delivering – the post holder will manage key relationships with high value supporters, looking to optimise income and supporter engagement opportunities.

Product development – You will work with key stakeholders to develop appropriate products that will appeal to the corporate audience.

External fundraising environment – Keep abreast of the external fundraising environment and develop businesses cases for investment in new and diverse opportunities for income generation.

Budgeting and KPIs – Manage the development of the income and expenditure budget for our portfolio of corporate partnerships with support from the Director and Senior Manager – Philanthropy and Partnerships.

Decision making is at a team lead level – you will be making strategic and tactical decisions, managing an income and expenditure budget for the corporate partnerships, looking for both rapid short and longer term growth.

Compliance – Ensure that our events and activities are compliant with the Fundraising Codes of Practice, GDPR and other relevant regulations.

Key working relationships including but not limited to; Daily: Senior Manager – Philanthropy and Partnerships and the Fundraising Team, Communications and Marketing Team, Corporate partners Occasional: Fundraising Director, the wider NLH teams, (including retail, learning and Development, bereavement and clinical teams)
