Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-time Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment to support our chefs and service staff. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure smooth kitchen operations, uphold hygiene standards, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to gain valuable hospitality experience in a lively, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks under the guidance of chefs, including basic chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
Support the cooking process by ensuring all kitchen stations are stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Ensure all food waste is disposed of properly and that the kitchen remains hygienic at all times.
Support the organization of storage areas by rotating stock and ensuring proper labeling.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold sanitation standards in accordance with hospitality industry requirements.
Assist with serving food during busy service periods when needed, ensuring timely delivery to guests.

Skills

Experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant environment is highly desirable.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
Prior hospitality or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with service standards.
Strong understanding of cleanliness, hygiene practices, and safety protocols in a kitchen setting.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
Enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and hospitality services.
