We believe procurement is more than placing orders; it is about creating value, controlling costs, and ensuring the right resources are available at the right time. We are looking for a Procurement Specialist who can take ownership of day to day purchasing activities and supplier coordination. You will work closely with finance, operations, and internal stakeholders to ensure purchasing decisions support business requirements and long term commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing Management: Manage purchase requests, purchase orders, quotations, and supplier communications while ensuring purchases meet internal requirements and approved budgets.

Supplier Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers. Request quotations, compare commercial offers, monitor supplier performance, and support negotiations on pricing, delivery, and terms.

Sourcing: Identify suitable suppliers and sourcing opportunities based on quality, cost, availability, and business requirements. Conduct market research to support informed purchasing decisions.

Cost Control: Monitor procurement spending and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or service levels. Work with finance and internal teams to maintain accurate purchasing records.

Stakeholder Management: Work closely with operations, finance, project teams, and other departments to understand purchasing requirements and ensure goods and services are delivered according to expectations.

Procurement Reporting: Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing data. Prepare regular reports covering purchasing activity, supplier performance, costs, outstanding orders, and potential savings opportunities.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience: 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a related commercial function.

Procurement Knowledge: Strong understanding of purchasing processes, supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, purchase orders, and commercial negotiations.

Analytical Skills: You are comfortable comparing costs, reviewing supplier proposals, analyzing purchasing data, and identifying opportunities for improved value.

Communication: You can communicate confidently with suppliers and internal stakeholders and are comfortable negotiating commercial terms while maintaining strong professional relationships.

Systems: Experience with procurement platforms, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, or similar business tools is highly valued.

Language Skills: Strong written and spoken English is required for supplier communication, internal collaboration, and procurement documentation.

Mindset: You are organized, commercially aware, and pragmatic. You understand that effective procurement requires balancing cost, quality, delivery, supplier reliability, and business priorities. You know when to negotiate firmly and when building a long term supplier relationship creates greater value.

Pay: £3,314.00-£4,971.00 per month
