Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible serving practices. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive service throughout their visit
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
Take food and drink orders accurately using POS systems, ensuring timely delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas in compliance with health and safety regulations
Manage cash transactions, process payments, and handle tips professionally
Assist in setting up the bar area before service and cleaning up after closing hours
Engage with guests to create a friendly atmosphere, addressing any special requests or dietary needs
Follow all food safety protocols diligently to ensure guest safety at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in restaurant or bar settings, is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
Proven ability to serve efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service skills
Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Good time management skills to ensure prompt service during peak hours
Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
