Moody’s Hagley is looking for an experienced and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team (@moodys.hagley).

The Role
This is a hands-on role supporting our Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You'll play a key role in delivering consistently high-quality food across both our busy brunch service and our growing evening offering, while helping develop exciting seasonal and weekly specials that keep our menus fresh and interesting.

Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible shifts including daytime brunch and evening service
Location: Moody’s Hagley

Responsibilities

To support and match the energy of our talented and passionate Head Chef
Preparing and delivering high-quality dishes during busy service periods
Assisting with menu development for both brunch and evening service
Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Ensuring all food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety standards are followed
Managing stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
Training and supporting junior kitchen staff
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role
Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure
A team player with a positive attitude
Passion for fresh, high-quality food
Flexibility to work across daytime brunch and evening service
Pizza experience preferred
