Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and hospitality to develop their skills within a supportive environment. The role involves working collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen setting, ensuring that all meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with recipes and quality standards
Cook dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Support the team in serving food efficiently during busy periods
Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Assist with washing up, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service times

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
