Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our customers premises, assets, and personnel. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, loss prevention measures, and prompt response to incidents. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will help ensure a safe and welcoming space for everyone. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in the security and well-being of our community.

Duties

Monitor security cameras (CCTV) continuously to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying potential theft or misconduct
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents with appropriate action and communication
Assist visitors and staff by verifying identities and guiding them safely within the facility
Provide first aid assistance when necessary, following established safety protocols
Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security documentation accurately

Requirements

Proven experience in security operations or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV systems and monitoring techniques
Knowledge of loss prevention tactics and security best practices
Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies or stressful situations
Valid first aid certification or willingness to obtain one upon hiring
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail and situational awareness
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods throughout shifts
