Join Our Marketing Team: Social Media Manager at the Heron Foods Store Support Centre in Melton!

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for social media and building online communities?

Heron Foods is looking for a Social Media Manager to lead our social media presence and help drive customer engagement across our growing estate of over 340 stores.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Marketing team, where you'll play a key role in shaping our social media strategy, creating engaging content, and growing our online community.

You'll be responsible for bringing the Heron Foods brand to life across our social channels, ensuring our content resonates with customers and supports our wider marketing objectives.

This role will involve regular travel to Heron Foods stores across the UK to create engaging social media content and showcase our colleagues & products.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Heron Foods' social media channels, ensuring content is engaging, relevant and aligned to brand guidelines.
Develop and deliver social media strategies that increase brand awareness, audience engagement and customer loyalty.
Create compelling content, including photography, video and written copy, tailored to different social platforms and audiences.
Plan and schedule social media activity in line with the wider marketing and trade plan.
Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to enhance content and audience engagement.
Manage online communities by responding to customer comments, messages and user-generated content.
Work closely with internal teams to capture and promote product launches, seasonal campaigns and business initiatives.
Analyse social media performance and provide insights and recommendations to improve results.
Build relationships with content creators, local communities and relevant partners to extend brand reach.
Support the development of store-level social media content and best practice guidance.

We're Looking for Someone With:

Previous experience managing social media accounts, preferably for a retail or consumer facing brand.
A strong understanding of major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
Excellent content creation skills, including photography, video creation, copywriting, and experience using design tools such as Canva to create engaging social content.
Experience using social media scheduling, monitoring and analytics tools.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across our store estate to create content, capture photography and video, and bring the Heron Foods brand to life on social media.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for identifying new content opportunities.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A customer-focused mindset and a genuine interest in understanding what engages

audiences online.
