Full job description

As a family business we are one of the leading privately-owned palletised transport organisations in the UK. Established in 1979 we operate across 11 sites in England and Scotland with over 480 employees and 220 vehicles. They offer a wide range of delivery solutions to many satisfied customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professional conduct.

Backshift 16.00 – 02.00 Monday to Friday (45 hours) Basic £13.37 ph Overtime £15.37 ph

Reporting To: Depot Night Manager / Depot General Manager

Who are we looking for?

The successful Forklift Operator will have the experience, skill, and flexible attitude to take on this role and thrive.

· On a daily basis, inspect forklift trucks and, if necessary, reporting any issues found.

· Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety complying with all Health and Safety legislation.

· Ensure inbound and outbound pallets are loaded accurately and free of damage. Also, ensuring all pallets are labelled with the correct labels, reporting any quality/quantity variances to the Traffic Office.

· Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, assisting in maintaining the tidiness of the warehouse, canopy and trailers whenever required.

· All candidates must possess a current counterbalance certification without exception

· Must be eligible to work in the UK

Previous experience of operating in a busy warehouse environment loading and unloading pallets for a fleet of HGV's and trailers is preferred however new qualified operators are welcome.
