Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional with strong leadership skills to contribute to a dynamic hospitality environment. This is a split shift role so would suit someone local.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
Manage food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items
Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
Train new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and customer service standards
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen management role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development
Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding customer service
