Job Title: Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential
Location: Hinckley, LE10
Salary: £32,240 – £33,280 per annum (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: Days, evenings, weekends

About Us:

We are a nurturing and child-focused residential care provider committed to creating positive futures for children and young people. Our Ofsted-registered children’s home in Hinckley provides a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

We are now looking for a Children's Senior Support Worker who is experienced, motivated, and ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll be a key member of our team—supporting the young people in our care and mentoring junior staff to maintain a high standard of care and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people in line with individual care plans
Lead shifts and support with rota planning and daily delegation
Serve as a positive role model and mentor for other support workers
Support children with education, activities, and life skills development
De-escalate challenging behaviours using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
Complete reports, risk assessments, and incident records to a high standard
Ensure safeguarding and compliance with all relevant legislation and care standards
Work in partnership with external agencies, schools, and families

What We’re Looking For:

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent – essential)
A calm, confident, and consistent approach to care
Ability to lead, support, and develop others
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
A full UK driving licence (essential)
Flexibility to work on a rota including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins
