Job Overview

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team at Langley Castle Hotel, a 4-star castle hotel with a 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide essential support to the kitchen team, helping to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Your duties will include:

Washing and cleaning crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
Keeping kitchen areas, floors, walls and work surfaces clean and hygienic.
Operating the dishwasher and ensuring equipment is stored correctly.
Assisting chefs with basic kitchen preparation when required.
Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas.
Receiving, moving and storing deliveries as required.
Keeping the kitchen and storage areas organised.
Following all food hygiene, health & safety and COSHH procedures.
Supporting the chefs and wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
Carrying out any other reasonable duties required to support the smooth running of the kitchen.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Able to work well as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.
Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Physically fit enough to undertake the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and moving kitchen equipment and supplies.
Willing to learn and take direction from senior members of the kitchen team.
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment would be an advantage, but full training can be provided for the right person.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
