Location: Chadwell Heath Training Ground, with travel to other Club sites

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £32,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and proactive Female Athlete Wellbeing Coordinator to lead and deliver holistic wellbeing support across our Women's First Team environment. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about education, wellbeing, and athlete development to make a meaningful impact within elite sport.

Position:

About the Role

The Female Athlete Wellbeing Coordinator will support the holistic development of female players by addressing there:

Mental wellbeing

Social wellbeing

Education and career development

Financial awareness and life skills

You will help players build confidence, resilience and a strong sense of identity while preparing them for success both during and beyond their football careers.

Working closely with the Women's Head of Safeguarding and Wellbeing and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will ensure players receive coordinated, evidence-based support throughout every stage of their journey.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

✔ Develop and implement individual wellbeing plans for players.

✔ Support player induction, onboarding, progression and transition into and beyond elite football.

✔ Deliver engaging wellbeing, education and personal development programmes.

✔ Provide one-to-one mentoring and group wellbeing support.

✔ Promote career planning, further education, volunteering, leadership and life skills.

✔ Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to coordinate player support.

✔ Monitor and support injured players, loan players and those training away from the first-team environment.

✔ Contribute to the Club's wellbeing strategy, including mental health, safeguarding and female athlete health initiatives.

✔ Develop effective relationships with the league, The FA and external partners.

✔ Gather feedback from players and staff to continuously improve wellbeing provision.

✔ Maintain confidential, accurate and professional records.

✔ Ensure all wellbeing provision meets or exceeds League standards.

The successful candidate agrees to proactively identify and respond appropriately to any concerns, and follow the Club's Safeguarding reporting procedures to report allegations of abuse, poor practice, or anything that may impact the welfare of a child, young person, or adult at risk without delay, within 24 hours, or as otherwise directed by the Club’s or the West Ham Foundation Safeguarding Team.
