Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Working Saturday, Sunday (and Mondays if you require more hours) 6am-11am.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment, delivering exceptional breakfast experiences to our guests. Applicants should have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations, with a keen eye for detail and safety.

Duties

Prepare and cook a range of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, cereals, and other hot and cold dishes
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout the shift
Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness
Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to management
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
Adhere to all hygiene protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Support team members during busy periods to maintain smooth kitchen operations

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to breakfast dishes
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a friendly attitude towards guests is important
