About the Role:

We believe strong workforce management is essential to delivering consistent service, improving productivity, and supporting long term business growth. We are looking for a Workforce Operations Manager who can take ownership of workforce planning, operational performance, and team coordination. You will work closely with managers and internal stakeholders to ensure staffing levels, workflows, performance standards, and operational priorities remain aligned with business needs. You will be a key partner in improving how our teams work while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and employee performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Workforce Planning: Develop workforce plans based on business demand, staffing requirements, operational priorities, and projected workloads.

Operational Management: Monitor daily workforce operations and ensure teams have the resources, processes, and support required to meet performance expectations.

Performance Management: Review operational metrics, identify performance gaps, and work with managers to implement practical improvement plans.

Team Leadership: Support and mentor operational staff and team supervisors. Promote accountability, effective communication, and consistent working practices.

Resource Allocation: Coordinate staffing requirements, workload distribution, scheduling, and capacity planning to maintain efficient service delivery.

Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements that increase productivity, reduce delays, and improve workforce utilisation.

Stakeholder Management: Work closely with department managers, HR, finance, and senior stakeholders to communicate workforce requirements, operational results, and recommended improvements.

Reporting and Analysis: Prepare workforce reports and performance summaries using operational data to support planning and management decisions.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience: 6+ years of experience in workforce management, operations, business services, resource planning, or a related field, with previous experience managing or mentoring teams.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to coordinate teams, manage competing priorities, and provide practical guidance to employees and operational supervisors.

Workforce Management: Strong understanding of workforce planning, scheduling, capacity management, productivity measurement, and operational performance.

Analytical Skills: Comfortable working with operational data, performance reports, workforce metrics, and business forecasting to identify trends and opportunities.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Problem Solving: You are pragmatic and solutions focused. You can identify operational challenges, evaluate available options, and implement improvements while maintaining service standards.

Mindset: You are organised, accountable, and commercially aware. You understand that successful workforce operations require a balance between employee capability, customer requirements, productivity, and business objectives.

Pay: £65,770.00-£74,179.00 per year
