Overview

Join our dynamic furniture retail team as a dedicated <PERSON> driver, where your energy and precision will keep our operations moving smoothly. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering furniture to customers with enthusiasm and professionalism, ensuring each delivery is handled with care and efficiency. Your expertise in commercial driving and warehouse experience will contribute directly to providing exceptional service and maintaining our reputation for reliability. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles to deliver furniture items to residential and commercial locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
Load and unload furniture pieces, utilizing heavy lifting techniques when necessary to ensure safe handling of products
Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and answering any questions about their purchase
Coordinate delivery schedules with the warehouse team to optimize routes and ensure timely arrivals
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and inventory records for all shipments
Assist in warehouse activities such as organizing stock, preparing items for delivery, and managing inventory when not on the road

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or <PERSON> driver with a strong track record in commercial driving environments
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not required
Experience in warehouse operations and heavy lifting techniques necessary for handling large furniture pieces
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy furniture safely and efficiently
Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving
Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and documentation effectively
