Contract: Permanent
Salary: £31,700 per annum plus service charge and benefits

The Ickworth, part of Luxury Family Hotels, is entering an exciting new era. Join our team as a Commis Chef and play your part in shaping the next chapter of this much-loved Suffolk retreat.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team and contribute to our ongoing success.

This is a permanent role, at 48 hours per week (including weekends), with a salary of £31,700 per annum plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package.

You will:

As a Commis Chef, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in our fast-paced kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring chef to develop their skills and grow within a supportive and creative environment.

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to our restaurant’s standards and recipes.
Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality.
Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Support senior chefs with various kitchen tasks, including food prep, plating, and inventory management.
Participate in menu planning and contribute innovative ideas for new dishes.
Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and safety practices.

What we need:

Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment will be beneficial; however, training will be provided.
Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
A friendly and engaging personality, with a passion for hospitality and great service and a desire to learn and develop new skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Food Hygiene level 2 would be beneficial.
