Full job description

We're looking for a hands-on Content & PR Executive to join our Marketing team at Cox & Cox. This exciting role combines proactive PR activity and high-quality content creation. Through a combination of proactive pitching, press management and SEO-led content, the role contributes to increasing brand visibility, driving organic reach and supporting commercial objectives.

You’ll be responsible for securing editorial coverage across online and print media, developing strong relationships with journalists, editors and key industry contacts, while representing the brand at media events and supporting seasonal campaigns and launches.

The role also helps deliver product descriptions and editorial copy, ensuring all written communications are accurate, engaging and aligned to the Cox & Cox brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

PR Support

· Proactively pitch and secure editorial coverage for Cox & Cox across online and print media.

· Maintain and strengthen relationships with key journalists, editors and media contacts within the interiors, lifestyle, trade and national press sectors.

· Organise and attend face-to-face meetings, media breakfasts and promotional events to support brand and seasonal launches.

· Respond to direct requests from journalists via the press inbox and media outlets.

· Manage image requests, press liaison and distribution of approved materials.

· Create and maintain the press release schedule.

· Act as the first point of contact for journalists regarding press loans and provide regular status updates.

· Maintain Press Loft assets, copy and supporting information as required.

· Generate ideas that contribute to organic brand reach and wider brand-building activity to support target revenue plans.

Product Copy & Editorial

· Own and maintain high-quality product descriptions, including Buyers’ Notes, dimensions and info, ensuring all information is accurate, clear and on brand.

· Create written editorial content such as blog articles and copy for new categories, collections and seasonal stories.

· Ensure consistent tone of voice across all written content.

SEO & Digital Content

· Support the digital agency with SEO-related content tasks, including copy updates, optimised content creation and on-site improvements.

· Implement SEO copy recommendations across product pages, blogs and landing pages, ensuring changes remain aligned to brand tone of voice.

· Work with internal stakeholders to prioritise and deliver SEO-related content requests.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR

· 2-3 years of experience in a PR role.

· Experience in content, copywriting or editorial.

· Strong written English with excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to write clearly, accurately and in a consistent brand tone of voice.

· Basic understanding of SEO principles.

· Organised, reliable and comfortable managing multiple content and PR priorities.

· Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with journalists and external contacts.

ENVIRONMENT

· Hybrid working environment between our Frome head office and home working.

· Salary £33,000 - £35,000 per annum.

· 20 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays (28 days in total).
