Full job description

We are looking for a confident, organised and friendly Customer Service Advisor to join our busy car showroom team.

This is a telephony-based customer service role and would suit someone who is confident speaking to customers, handling sales enquiries, managing bookings, following up on leads and supporting with general showroom administration.

You will be one of the first points of contact for customers coming into the business. The role will involve dealing with sales enquiries, booking customers in, responding to leads, directing finance and aftersales enquiries correctly, sending vehicle videos to customers and completing office admin work such as V5s, sales invoices, finance invoices and other general admin duties.

Main Responsibilities

Dealing with incoming telephone calls, customer enquiries and leads into the business.
Acting as the first point of contact for customers.
Handling sales leads and responding to customer questions about vehicles.
Booking customers in for vehicle viewings, sales appointments and test drives.
Following up with customers who have made enquiries.
Responding to leads through various platforms, including Auto Trader, our website, WhatsApp and other enquiry channels.
Sending vehicle videos to customers where required.
Taking accurate customer details, including name, contact number, vehicle of interest, vehicle registration and enquiry details.
Dealing with finance enquiries and directing them to the correct person or department.
Dealing with aftersales enquiries by taking the customer’s details and vehicle registration, then directing the enquiry correctly.
Liaising with the sales and aftersales teams for updates where needed.
Keeping customers updated in a professional and timely manner.
Keeping clear records of calls, enquiries, bookings, follow-ups and outcomes.
Completing office administration work, including V5s, sales invoices, finance invoices and other general admin tasks.
Ensuring customer and vehicle records are updated accurately.
Escalating urgent or unhappy customer issues to the correct department.
Supporting the showroom team with customer service, bookings and admin duties when required.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

Confident and professional on the phone.
Friendly, polite and helpful with customers.
Organised and able to manage multiple enquiries at once.
Reliable with follow-ups and call-backs.
Good at taking accurate notes and passing messages on clearly.
Comfortable using phones, emails, WhatsApp, online enquiry platforms and basic computer systems.
Able to work well in a busy showroom environment.
Calm and professional when dealing with customer questions or complaints.
Proactive and able to make sure enquiries are not missed.
Able to complete admin tasks accurately and efficiently.
Previous sales experience required

Previous experience in customer service, call handling, sales support, bookings, reception, admin or the motor trade would be helpful, but training can be provided for the right person.

Working Days

This is a part-time role working 4 days per week.

Saturday

Tuesday

Applicants must be able to work both Saturday and Sunday as these are required working days for this role.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
