Account Manager – Business Solutions

Role: Permanent
Location: Cookham – hybrid (2 days office / 3 days remote)
Salary: £45,000 + OTE and benefits

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our Business Solutions team and build strong, lasting relationships with our corporate clients.

You’ll manage a portfolio of Business Solutions and Company Affiliate accounts, acting as the main day-to-day contact. You’ll get to know your clients, understand their business and learning needs, and identify opportunities to help them achieve their objectives and get more value from their relationship with CIM.

There’s a strong commercial focus too. You’ll own renewals, identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and work with colleagues across the business to develop solutions that meet client needs.

In short, we’re looking for someone who can build relationships, spot opportunities and make things happen.

What you’ll be doing

Manage a portfolio of CIM Business Solutions and Company Affiliate accounts, building trusted client relationships.
Hold regular account reviews to understand priorities, demonstrate value and identify opportunities for growth.
Develop account plans focused on retention, engagement and growth.
Manage client queries and issues, working with internal teams to deliver a great customer experience.
Understand clients’ business objectives, marketing challenges, skills gaps and learning and development needs.
Carry out training needs analysis and recommend relevant learning solutions, qualifications, workshops or bespoke programmes.
Manage renewals, identifying risks early and taking action to protect retention.
Identify opportunities for repeat business, additional programmes, membership growth and Company Affiliate expansion.
Work with Account Directors and wider teams to develop strategic relationships and commercial opportunities.
Prepare and present proposals, account reviews and recommendations that demonstrate value and ROI.
Monitor client satisfaction, programme performance and feedback, using insight to improve the customer experience.
Maintain accurate CRM records and use client insight to help shape future products and services.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience in an Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, Client Relationship Manager or similar client-facing role, preferably within a training organisation, along with a track record of managing multiple accounts and building long-term relationships.

You’ll be confident having commercial conversations and identifying opportunities, while understanding that great account management is about listening, advising and delivering value.

You’ll bring:

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working within a training organisation.
Experience managing customer accounts and maintaining client satisfaction.
A commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
A consultative, customer-focused approach.
Experience with retention, renewals, upselling or cross-selling.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organisation and time-management skills.
A proactive, problem-solving approach.
The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at different levels.
A collaborative approach and confidence working across teams.

Experience in professional services, education, training, or membership organisation would be ideal. Knowledge of learning and development, professional qualifications or training solutions would also be an advantage.
