Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop team member to provide exceptional service to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and light snacks, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring a welcoming environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee and customer service to develop their skills within a vibrant team setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, teas, and other drinks, in accordance with company standards.
Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, dining area, and work surfaces throughout shifts.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Follow food preparation guidelines to ensure quality and consistency in all offerings.
Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly without compromising service quality.

Skills

Experience as a barista or in food service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene.
Ability to serve customers with friendliness, patience, and professionalism.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Good organisational skills to keep work areas tidy and stocked.
Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
