Full job description

PHSC Academy is looking for a friendly, organised and commercially minded Academy Client Development Coordinator to join our team in Cumbernauld.

This is a varied client services role combining telephone-based client development with course administration and practical support for our face-to-face training. You will be a key point of contact for clients and delegates, helping them choose the right training, converting enquiries into bookings and ensuring they receive a professional and well-organised service throughout.

PHSC Academy provides training across health and safety, food safety, ISO management systems, auditing, risk and compliance. It forms part of PHSC plc, an established provider of health, safety and compliance services to organisations throughout the UK.

What you will be doing

Responding to Academy enquiries by telephone, email, website and CRM.
Understanding clients’ training needs and recommending suitable courses.
Preparing quotations and following enquiries through to a clear outcome and, wherever possible, a confirmed booking.
Making planned outbound calls to existing clients, previous delegates, lapsed contacts and prospective clients.
Identifying opportunities for repeat bookings, additional delegates, related courses and other relevant services.
Managing delegate bookings from the initial enquiry through to joining instructions, attendance, certification and follow-up.
Maintaining accurate client, delegate, course and booking information in HubSpot and other Academy systems.
Preparing course materials, delegate packs, tutor folders and training documents.
Liaising with trainers and awarding bodies, including IOSH and NEBOSH.
Helping to ensure face-to-face courses are properly prepared and run smoothly, including welcoming delegates and arranging materials, equipment and refreshments.
Supporting clients and delegates with changes, transfers, cancellations and general enquiries.

About you

You will have experience in a client-facing customer service, sales administration, account support or telephone-based commercial role.

You will also have:

A confident and professional telephone manner.
The ability to understand a client’s requirements and recommend the right solution.
Experience of following up enquiries, converting opportunities or developing existing client relationships.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Clear and accurate written communication.
A practical, solutions-focused approach.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Confidence learning and using CRM, course-booking and other business systems.
The ability to work from our Cumbernauld office and provide practical support for face-to-face courses.

Experience within training, education, professional services or another business-to-business environment would be helpful but is not essential. Experience of HubSpot, course administration, learning platforms or working with awarding bodies such as IOSH or NEBOSH would also be an advantage.
