Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Workers to support young people in our community. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering positive development, providing mentorship, and creating a safe and engaging environment for children and teenagers. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives through organised activities, guidance, and support tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote personal growth, social skills, and confidence among young people.
Provide mentorship and guidance to support behavioural development and emotional well-being.
Work closely with children and teenagers, ensuring their safety and fostering a positive environment.
Support individuals with special educational needs by adapting activities and providing tailored assistance.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external organisations to develop programmes that meet the diverse needs of participants.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and progress for reporting purposes.
Uphold safeguarding policies at all times to ensure the safety of all young people under your supervision.

Requirements

Experience or background in teaching, youth work, or working with children is highly desirable.
Strong mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young people.
Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) and inclusive practices is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, with patience and empathy when working with diverse groups of children and teenagers.
Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Commitment to safeguarding policies and promoting a safe environment for all participants. This role offers an enriching opportunity to contribute positively to the lives of young people while developing valuable skills in youth engagement and education.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
