Full job description

Peerless Windows is a window and door installation company based in Uxbridge. We are looking for a Service & Warehouse Coordinator for a varied role split approximately 50/50 between organising customer service visits and handling the day-to-day organisation of the warehouse.

Essential requirements – please apply only if you:

Have previous work experience dealing with customers by phone, booking appointments/service visits and ordering parts or material
Can reliably commute to our Uxbridge warehouse for an 8:00am start
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own car
Are willing to drive from the warehouse to customer sites, primarily around the Ealing area
Are comfortable safely lifting and moving heavy items, including windows and doors
Have good IT skills, including email and Microsoft Office
Can write clear, professional emails
Are punctual, reliable and able to take ownership of tasks through to completion

Hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

As part of a small company, this is a multi-role position. Responsibilities are split approximately 50/50 between coordinating customer service visits and keeping the warehouse organised so our installation teams can collect their jobs efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

Service Coordination – approximately 50%

Processing new service tickets
Contacting customers and booking service visits
Planning service days and engineer visits
Ordering replacement parts and materials
Keeping service jobs organised and progressing
Escalating difficult service issues or customer complaints to management

Warehouse – approximately 50%

Receiving supplier deliveries
Organising windows and doors into individual installation jobs
Keeping the warehouse and stock room organised
Taking smaller items to installation sites using your own vehicle
Occasionally attending sites to assist with moving or lifting larger items
Ordering replacements where items are damaged or broken
Ordering day-to-day warehouse stock as required
Arranging skip changes
Keeping the warehouse tidy, including sweeping up after cutting work

Fitters normally visit the warehouse at the beginning and end of their working day, at approximately 8:00am and 4:00pm, so punctuality is particularly important.

The warehouse manager is normally present around four days per week. An on-site office and a staff break area with kitchenette are provided.

Peerless Windows is a small business, so this is not a narrowly defined office or warehouse position. The successful applicant needs to be comfortable switching between customer service, administration, organisation and practical warehouse work as required.

Pay & Benefits

£16.50 per hour
37.5 hours per week
Equivalent to approximately £32,175 per year

Monday–Friday working
No regular weekend work
45p per mile mileage allowance when using your own vehicle for business journeys

Pay: £16.50 per hour
