Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to and that any incidents are promptly addressed.full frontline SIA license essential

Duties

Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid when necessary.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required.
Document any incidents or irregularities in detailed reports for further investigation.
Assist in loss prevention strategies by identifying potential risks and recommending improvements.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff with inquiries while maintaining professionalism.
Experience in operating in a licensed areas

Skills

Strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage emergency situations.
First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail, ensuring no potential threats go unnoticed.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and integrity at all times.
