Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated CQC Registered Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of care professionals. A strong background in senior care, dementia care, and management within assisted living or nursing home environments is essential. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader committed to enhancing the wellbeing of residents and fostering a positive care environment.

Duties

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and standards.
Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs, including specialised dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
Oversee medication administration processes, ensuring safety and accuracy in line with legal requirements.
Supervise and support staff members, fostering a culture of professional development, teamwork, and high standards of care.
Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to uphold service excellence.
Liaise with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate effective care delivery.
Ensure all staff are trained appropriately in areas such as dementia care, medication management, and emergency procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Lead on compliance inspections and prepare reports for CQC assessments.
Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for residents and staff alike.

Requirements

Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home management, ideally within a senior or dementia care setting.
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and standards governing adult social care services.
Demonstrable leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Compassionate approach to resident care with a focus on dignity and quality of life.
Relevant qualifications in nursing or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care).
Experience in developing personalised care plans, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies.
Ability to lead by example whilst fostering a positive team culture centred on continuous improvement.
Good communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, staff, and external bodies.
