Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled pizza/fryer chef for our new project in braehead Shopping centre. Position will be full time with a focus on high end New York style doughs and pies. Role will also be helping the chefs with the brunch and lunch menu. Small and simple menu but high standards are a must. Busy 80 seater restaurant with parties as we're joined to a playpark which is in development now. Looking to open in mid august

Duties

Prepare pizza dough and toppings according to specified recipes and customer preferences
Cook pizzas to perfection using appropriate methods and equipment
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including work surfaces, utensils, and cooking equipment
Assist in menu development by suggesting new pizza varieties or improvements
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all food preparation activities

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles, preferably within a restaurant setting
Knowledge of culinary techniques related to pizza making and meal preparation
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen environment
Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is desirable
Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a friendly attitude towards guests is important
