The National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV) is a community interest company which specialises in helping victims of domestic abuse and violence obtain injunctions against their perpetrators.

NCDV is a fast, free injunction service to those at risk of all forms of domestic abuse regardless of their financial situation, gender, ethnic or sexuality.

Our employees are committed to helping survivors of domestic abuse helping them by drafting their court application forms and witness statements which are then sent to our panel of Solicitors in order for them to receive legal representation.

NCDV's mission is to help as many people as possible gain access to the legal justice and protection.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Call Centre Triage Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing critical support and guidance to individuals in urgent situations via telephone, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance swiftly and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and relevant emergency management experience. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities

Conducting outbound and inbound calls
Taking accurate details of applicants personal details
Taking accurate notes of applicants accounts of abuse to determine if they qualify for an injunction
Discussing finances to determine if they qualify for legal aid
Being fast and efficient on the phone
Able to work to targets aiming to help as many people as possible
Any other ad hoc duties as required from time to time

Experience

Patient, compassionate and good listening skills
Professional telephone manner
Good communication skills
Good typing skills and PC literate
Ability to work well under pressure

This position will be based fully in the office for the first 4 months once successful completion of probation this will then become hybrid working with 1 day in office every 2 weeks.

The role is full time Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,800.00 per year
