Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Waiter/Waitress to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment while providing outstanding service to our guests.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel welcome throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests using proper serving techniques
Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently, ensuring presentation standards are maintained
Provide knowledgeable recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest experience
Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are adhered to at all times
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the service area
Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash transactions responsibly
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Excellent communication skills with guests and team members
Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and change accurately
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the establishment’s operating hours
A professional appearance and courteous manner at all times
